The holiday season always brings us back to the kitchen. The scents of warm cinnamon, roasted apples, and melting chocolate flood our senses as we walk past our pastry department daily. We were thrilled to invite the public to join us to experience it first hand for a pastry demonstration for Chef George’s holiday favorite, a chocolate-apple entremet.
The pastry team took turns showing our guests a demonstration for each portion of putting together the entremets, which was a decadent chocolate cake, covered with roasted apples and a rich vahlrona chocolate mousse. The guests enjoyed sparkling wine and tastes of world class chocolate as they enjoyed the class, and had the option to take notes on custom note pads.
The guests joined us upstairs for a light dessert reception starring some of our favorite Urban Farmer desserts from truffles to decadent cakes. They were given the opportunity to ask our pastry team direct questions during the reception and hear a little more about the daily production of all our pastry items. Each guest departed with take-away fall flavored macarons, and recipe cards to enjoy the creation at home. We are thrilled to say that all of our participants will be joining us again next month for our final class of the season!
