Off-site events are always a joy to be a part of, but even more rewarding when the event benefits a great group of people. Our culinary team was excited to be part of the Feastival 2017 lineup. The food festival benefited the Philadelphia FringeArts, an arts group that brings contemporary forms of interactive art to the community. The arts and the food scene are two big factors in pushing Philadelphia’s economy forward, and we are more than proud to represent Urban Farmer at an event that helps bring people together to celebrate that.
This year, the Urban Farmer team presented Herr’s 14 hour pastrami brisket with a pear slaw over a buckwheat blini. We were located centrally with some of Philadelphia’s best, and had guests lining up for seconds. The event hosted an eccentric crowd, some of which had been to Urban Farmer in the past and plenty of potential new guests.
The money raised will help benefit the incredible arts scene in Philadelphia, and we hope to join for a third year in 2018!
